Lessons from Gideon

From a humble background, God chose Gideon. Gideon's clan was one of the weakest and he was the least in his family. God chose him to defend the Israelites from their enemies (Midianites)

God loves the underdog. When the underdog excels he gets the glory and people learn to trust him. God knew his potential. God was always with Gideon. The war might have been Gideon's but the battle was the LORD'S.

With a reduced army from 32000 to 300 he triumphed. The Lord wanted to show His might and glory that is why He instructed Gideon to reduce the army. This shows in spite of weaknesses and other shortcomings, if we trust in the Lord we shall be victorious.

When God gives a promise it comes to pass. Gideon needed to see his promise in a dream because of his fear. Once he got assurance from the dream he became courageous and God's spirit gave him confidence. He knew he would win before he even started. Enter any situation with the mindset of winning.

Interpretation of dreams give us revelation that breeds confidence.
